The Bilal's Recitation for 11 Rakaat Tarawih Prayers: Complete Arabic, Transliteration, and Congregational Responses
The performance of 11 Rakaat Tarawih prayers (8 Rakaat Tarawih and 3 Rakaat Witir) is one of the most practiced forms in Indonesia. The Bilal’s role is crucial in maintaining the rhythm and providing pauses for the congregation’s remembrance. Here is the complete text.
The Bilal begins with salutations and an invitation to prayer:
(Allahumma shalli wa sallim ’alaih.)
(Ash-shalatu tarawihi rak’ataini jami’atan rahimakumullah.)

Allahumma shalli ’ala sayyidina Muhammad.)
Mentioning the first Caliph (Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq):
(Al-khalifatul uula amirul mu’minina sayyiduna Abu Bakrinish Shiddiq.)

(Radhiyallahu ’anhu.)

The Difference Between 11 and 23 Rakaat Tarawih: Evidence, History, and Law
The Bilal and congregation’s recitations consist of remembrance, salutations, and prayers between the Tarawih and Witir prayers. More specifically, here are the recitations, salutations, and prayers between the 20 Rakaat Tarawih prayers.
If we want to recite remembrance, salutations, and prayers during the Tarawih prayers, here are the recitations from the Bilal and the responses from the congregation. This is specifically for the eight Rakaat Tarawih plus three Rakaat Witir.
The Witir prayer is a Sunnah prayer as a closing prayer performed at night.
Here are the Bilal’s recitations in the 20 Rakaat Tarawih and 3 Rakaat Witir, which indicate the number of Rakaat and the Tarawih and Witir prayers on the night of Ramadan.
