Terrorism and Muslims
From Gatra
Everywhere under the sun terrorist networks employ similar strategies, action patterns and recruitment styles. Terrorists resort to violent and clandestine ways and recruit ignorant young people to spread terror. These are part of a statement made by King Fadh in his address at the opening of the 19th World's Conference of Councils of Mosques in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Aug. 30.
These characteristics can also be found in the terrorist network in Indonesia. It is revealed from investigations and interrogations that the perpetrators of terrorist acts in Indonesia are generally Muslims that have taken the wrong road in implementing Islamic teachings. They have killed people and damaged social order, acts that are forbidden by God.
To ensure that the young will not easily fall into the trap set by a terrorist network, the government and religious leaders must provide them with correct religious teaching so that they can guard themselves against any deviation in their religious teachings.
