Temples in Busan offer accommodation for fans attending BTS concert
Jakarta (ANTARA) — A number of Buddhist temples in Busan, South Korea, and the surrounding areas are reported to open their rooms as accommodation for fans who will attend the BTS world tour next month. “The BTS concert in Busan is a major cultural draw for fans from around the world,” said the Korean Buddhist Culture Corps in an official statement cited by Yonhap News Agency on Friday (22 May). The Korean Buddhist Culture Corps said participating temples in the programme include Beomeo Temple, Naewonjeong Temple, Hongbeop Temple, and Seonam Temple in Busan; Seongju Temple and Daegwang Temple in nearby Changwon; Tongdo Temple in Yangsan; and Pyochung Temple in Miryang. All of these Buddhist temples will provide accommodation at the temple and other spaces available to visitors around the concert dates either free of charge or at affordable prices. In addition to lodging, several locations plan to provide meals for visitors and opportunities to experience traditional Korean culture and Buddhist practices. Organisers are also considering translation support to assist foreign visitors. Participants are required to comply with temple rules, including check-in and check-out times and guidelines for communal living, as these temples are primarily intended for monks and nuns. “We hope to share the spirit of generosity and hospitality demonstrated by the temples and help visitors leave Busan with wonderful memories,” they said.
