Telkomsel has again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening village development and encouraging inclusive digital transformation through its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Baktiku Negeriku. This year’s programme was implemented on 21-23 May 2026 in Balegede Village, Naringgul District, Cianjur Regency, and on 11-13 June 2026 in Bayu Village, Songgon District, Banyuwangi Regency, with a stronger focus on employee empowerment as mentors and agents of change within the community. Aligned with the spirit of ‘Serving Wholeheartedly’, Telkomsel is present not only as a connectivity provider but also as a partner that understands the needs of village communities, ranging from digital literacy and strengthening the local economy to utilising technology to boost productivity. The programme addresses real community challenges such as limited digital access, low business management capacity, and the suboptimal utilisation of village potential. In line with national development directions, Baktiku Negeriku also refers to the sixth point of the Asta Cita, which is to build from the village and from the grassroots level for economic equality and poverty eradication. Within this context, Telkomsel positions local communities as strategic partners through enhancing human resource capacity, access to digital technology, and mentoring for productive enterprises. Ultimately, this approach is expected to encourage the creation of a more independent, adaptive, and competitive village economic ecosystem, while expanding inclusive and sustainable digital service adoption. Vice President Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility of Telkomsel, Abdullah Fahmi, stated that the Baktiku Negeriku programme is a tangible manifestation of Telkomsel’s commitment to delivering sustainable social impact through the use of digital technology. ‘We believe that community empowerment will be more effective when carried out collaboratively, including involving employees as agents of change who can share knowledge and experience directly,’ he said in a statement. He explained that, unlike previous years, Baktiku Negeriku 2026 strengthens the implementation of the Employee Volunteering Programme, whereby Telkomsel employees act not only as volunteers but also as mentors, facilitators, and connectors for access to knowledge and technology. Through this role, employees assist the community in various activities such as digital literacy education, MSME development, and the application of technology in the agriculture and tourism sectors. Furthermore, the programme prioritises the empowerment of village youth as local champions prepared to lead change initiatives in their areas. They are actively involved from planning to managing programmes based on local potential to create sustainable and relevant impact. The Baktiku Negeriku 2026 programme encompasses a number of main activities, including the implementation of an Integrated Farming Demonstration Plot, the development of Creative Tourism based on a circular economy, the construction of a Telkomsel Creative Digital Centre as a digital literacy hub, and a series of educational activities involving the community throughout the programme’s duration. Through this series of initiatives, Telkomsel delivers direct benefits to village communities, from improving digital skills and business development opportunities to using technology to support daily productivity, so that communities can become more self-reliant and ready to face future economic challenges. At the same time, the programme strengthens a collaborative ecosystem between the community, village government, and Telkomsel as a driver and enabler of community empowerment, which not only provides technology access but also comprehensive support, from capacity building and providing supporting facilities to ongoing mentoring, so the resulting impact is not merely short-term but also relevant and sustainable according to local needs. The programme’s sustainability also continues the positive impact of Baktiku Negeriku implementations in previous years, which have shown improvements in economic aspects, digital literacy, and social participation across various regions.
