Due to our busy schedule, we only managed to pay our telephone
bill on Nov. 20. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the
computer system at the Cikini branch of Bank Ekspor Impor that
day. We were asked to write down our telephone number on a piece
of paper, which was then stamped by the bank in order to avoid
being fined by the telephone company.
To our disappointment, on the following day the bank only gave
us the blue receipt. We were told to obtain the breakdown of the
bill form the PT Telkom office on Jl. Proklamasi in Central
Jakarta.
We had to go to Jl. Proklamasi, which meant wasting our time.
As a client, we felt let down. We don't understand why the bank
failed to inform its customers that it could not fully serve its
clients that day.
It would have been a great help had the bank put a notice on
the counters about the inconvenience rather than serving us half-
way, forcing us to go to two places to settle our bill.
We would like to draw the bank's attention to the matter to
prevent future inconveniences.
