Teams to draft tax bills

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Finance Mar'ie Muhammad has formed
teams to draft three bills, one regarding a body for tax
settlement, another for tax collection and another for local
administration taxes.

The appointment of the teams is stipulated in two finance
minister decrees -- No. 402/KMK.04/1996 and No. 403/KMK.04/1996,
both dated June 7.

Under the decrees, Minister of Finance Mar'ie Muhammad
appointed Director General of Taxes Fuad Bawazier to lead the
advisory board of the three drafting teams.

Mar'ie also appointed Director of Land and Building Taxes
Machfud Sidik as chairman of the drafting team for the local
administration taxes bill, Director of Tax Rulings Abroni
Nasution as chairman of the team drafting guidelines for a new
tax settlement body and Director of Tax Supervision Djazuli
Sadhani as chairman of the team drafting a new tax collection
