PT TASPEN (Persero) has formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement (PKS) with PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to stimulate growth among pension recipients in Aceh province.

The agreement was signed by TASPEN’s Operational Director, Tribuna Phitera Djaja, and BSI’s Retail Banking Director, Kemas Erwan Husainy, in Lhokseumawe on Thursday 12 March 2026.

Through this strategic collaboration, both parties are promoting enhanced financial literacy and utilisation of financial services to support participant welfare management, particularly improving access to financial services for civil servants (ASN) approaching retirement and pensioners.

TASPEN’s Corporate Secretary, Henra, stated that the cooperation reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its service ecosystem and reinforcing TASPEN’s role as a centre of excellence in social security management for civil servants in Indonesia.

“TASPEN consistently creates collaboration opportunities with various strategic partners to deliver increasingly adaptive and relevant services for participants, particularly for civil servants approaching retirement and those already retired,” Henra said in a statement on Tuesday 17 March 2026.

As of February 2026, TASPEN serves more than 139,000 active and retired participants in Aceh province, with over 84,000 of these served by TASPEN’s Lhokseumawe branch office. This substantial participant base underscores the importance of strengthening collaboration among various stakeholders to deliver increasingly accessible services that provide optimal benefits.

In delivering pension benefit payments, TASPEN is supported by a payment partner network distributed throughout Indonesia. Currently, TASPEN collaborates with 45 payment partners, comprising 1 postal service partner, 13 national banks, 28 Regional Development Banks (BPD), and 3 Rural Credit Banks (BPR).

This partnership network enables TASPEN to deliver increasingly widespread and accessible pension benefit payment services, offering diverse service options for participants across various regions.

This strategic cooperation also represents part of TASPEN’s efforts as a centre of excellence in social security, prioritising several aspects including participant comfort. The partnership also supports the national development agenda, including President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita agenda, particularly in strengthening the social protection system and improving public welfare through more inclusive and sustainable services.

“TASPEN will continue this strategic journey by synergising with various stakeholders to ensure that services to participants develop adaptively and inclusively, reaching wider across various regions in Indonesia,” Henra concluded.
