Target for 'Belanja di Indonesia Aja' Spending Reaches Rp 53 Trillion
Minister Airlangga Hartarto, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, said the target transactions under the Belanja di Indonesia Aja programme, also known as BINA Lebaran 2026, are Rp 53 trillion, up 20 percent from last year. ‘We hope this will continue to boost domestic consumption,’ Airlangga said at a press conference in Senayan City, Jakarta, on Friday, 6 March 2026.
The Belanja di Indonesia Aja programme runs from 6 to 30 March 2026. The public is encouraged to shop domestically, particularly in shopping centres, to support local products as well as micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM).
BINA Lebaran 2026 offers discounts of 70-80 percent on fashion, lifestyle products and Lebaran essentials at various malls. In addition, many shopping centres are hosting a Midnight Sale to boost sales.
‘We hope this momentum can drive growth in the economy in the first quarter,’ Airlangga said. He hopes that the first-quarter 2026 economic growth will reach 5.5 percent, higher than Q1 2025’s 4.87 percent. Last year, there was deflation due to a 50 percent subsidy for electric vehicles.
Nevertheless, there are challenges from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, namely the conflict involving the United States and Israel with Iran. The duration of the conflict remains uncertain, creating higher uncertainty across all sectors.
‘Based on various past experiences, the government will take swift steps,’ Airlangga added. Hippindo notes that BINA Lebaran 2026 is supported by 800 brands and 80,000 stores across various sectors. The Indonesian Shopping Centre Management Association (APPBI) confirms that 414 shopping centres nationwide are involved in the programme.
