At the event, Taj Yasin advised Hajj pilgrims during their time in the Holy Land to maintain their health, unity, and the good reputation of their region and Indonesia. He also urged them to follow the instructions of their guides and the prepared schedule. “The most important thing to follow there is the guidance from the Hajj supervisors in the KBIH (Kelompok Bimbingan Ibadah Haji),” said Taj Yasin in a written statement on Wednesday (22/4/2026). For the first batch, namely SOC 1 from Tegal Regency, the pilgrims are scheduled to depart from Adi Soemarmo Airport at 01.05 WIB on Wednesday (22/4) using Garuda Indonesia flight number GIA 6101 to Madinah. According to data from the Central Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kanwil Kemenhaj) Jateng, this year’s Hajj quota for Central Java reaches 34,122 people. This number consists of 32,138 pilgrims in sequence order, 1,706 priority elderly pilgrims, 191 regional Hajj officials, and 87 KBIH supervisors. The pilgrims are departing through two embarkation points, namely Solo and Yogyakarta. A total of 81 batches are departing via Solo Embarkation, while 15 batches from the Kedu residency area are via Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). The number of pilgrims departing via Solo Embarkation reaches 28,772 people accompanied by 321 Hajj officials. Meanwhile, via Yogyakarta Embarkation, there are 5,368 people accompanied by 60 Hajj officials. Taj Yasin also emphasised the importance of maintaining physical condition from the start of the departure. He reminded that the Hajj pilgrimage journey lasts around 40 days, so pilgrims must be careful in maintaining their stamina. “Maintain health, maintain unity,” said Taj Yasin. He also asked pilgrims to maintain their behaviour while in the Holy Land. Central Java pilgrims must help uphold the good image of Indonesian pilgrims, who are known to be orderly, polite, and not burdensome to others. “The good name of Central Java Province must also be maintained there,” said Taj Yasin. Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Java Health Service, Yunita Dyah Kusminar, stated that the committee has conducted a comprehensive re-examination of official documents stating the ability of prospective pilgrims from health aspects (physical and mental) to perform Hajj worship. “Our main preparation is to re-check the istitha’ah results for all pilgrims,” said Yunita. She mentioned that batch 1 is in safe condition. However, in batch 2, two pilgrims were referred to Moewardi Hospital, while in batch 3, two pilgrims were rested and one other is still under observation. According to Yunita, this condition does not automatically cancel the pilgrims’ departure. The determination of flight fitness is done through special assessments by the medical team on standby 24 hours. “Health checks are very important to keep pilgrims healthy there. So, depart healthy, return healthy,” said Yunita. One of the prospective Hajj pilgrims from Margasari, Tegal Regency, Maliyah, expressed happiness at being able to perform Hajj. This is because the departure comes after waiting since 14 years ago. In a wheelchair, Maliyah remains grateful to be able to go on Hajj as she had previously been ill. “On Monday, I was hospitalised. But alhamdulillah, I’m better now, the health check earlier was good,” said the 75-year-old elderly woman. “I registered with my husband, but he passed away 4/5 years ago. Now I’m going with my son-in-law,” she added. The Hajj Supervisor for Batch 3 SOC from Tegal Regency, Ahmad Risyanto, stated that this year’s Hajj services are better than the previous year, especially in the distribution of pilgrims’ needs, administrative services, and clarity of departure flow. “For this year, I think from the service side, it’s getting better,” said Ahmad. As information, Solo Embarkation has again obtained Makkah Route services at Adi Soemarmo Airport to speed up the departure process and reduce pilgrim fatigue. In addition, Nusuk cards have now been distributed and activated since at the embarkation. The release event for the first batch was attended by Deputy Chair of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives Abdul Wahid, Head of the Central Java Provincial Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) Saiful Mujab, Hajj organisers, local government officials, and several religious organisation figures.
