My family often goes to Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (TIJA). We spent the weekend of Oct. 1 at the Horizon Hotel. The service was very satisfactory.

But the weekend turned sour at 4 p.m. on Sunday when our 5- year old son screamed out in pain while swimming in the hotel's pool. He had cut his knee on the bottom of the pool. Blood streamed out of the wound.

Other guests commented that many children had been hurt in the same place before. Our son was treated at the hotel's clinic. We were told it was not a serious injury and they covered the cut with a plaster after disinfecting it.

However, it continued to bleed all night and my son had to be taken to the Pondok Indah hospital at 10 p.m. The doctor on duty said it was deep and that a couple of stitches were needed.

I appeal to the hotel's management to repair their swimming pool to avoid such stressful accidents in the future.
