Survey: Majority of US Citizens Believe Trump Attacked Iran to Cover Up Sexual Scandal in Epstein File
WASHINGTON — A recent poll in the United States indicates that the majority of Americans believe President Donald Trump’s decision to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran is connected to the Epstein scandal.
The Zeteo poll, published by The Telegraph on Tuesday (17 March 2026), indicates that most Americans believe Trump’s decision to bring the US into war with Iran was intended to conceal the sexual misconduct and sexual crimes revealed through the Epstein file.
“The latest polling results from Zeteo report that 52 per cent of Americans believe President Donald Trump launched attacks in his war against Iran to divert attention from major headline issues in America regarding the Epstein File,” according to The Telegraph report published on Tuesday (17 March 2026). Public confidence in this theory of issue diversion regarding the Epstein Files is particularly strong among the Democratic Party, which currently serves as the opposing faction in Trump’s administration.
“The perception is even stronger among political groups, with 81 per cent of Democrats believing the view that the war against Iran is a deliberate diversion by Donald Trump from the major issue of the Epstein file,” wrote The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, 52 per cent of respondents from the general public also view the war as a matter of issue diversion. Among those from the Republican Party, the political faction supporting Trump’s administration, 26 per cent believe Trump brought the US into war with Iran solely to divert attention from the sexual misconduct scandal in the Epstein File.
The Epstein documents represent a comprehensive collection of fully documented data concerning extraordinary multinational sexual crimes committed by prominent political figures worldwide.
