Surprise Urine Tests for 77 West Jakarta Police Officers All Come Back Negative
The West Jakarta Metropolitan Police conducted mass urine tests on 77 personnel. The results showed that none of the members tested positive for drugs.
The urine tests were carried out suddenly. The Chief of the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Twedy Aditya Bennyahdi, personally led the urine tests.
“Today, we conducted surprise checks on all personnel. Previously, checks were also carried out on key officials,” Twedy told reporters on Tuesday (24 February 2026).
“In total, 77 personnel underwent urine tests, and the results were all negative for drug use,” he added.
Twedy said the urine tests were conducted in an effort to maintain integrity. In addition, the tests were carried out to ensure that all personnel at the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police were free from drug abuse.
“These urine checks are conducted to determine whether any members are committing violations related to drug abuse,” said Twedy.
He explained that this activity will continue to be carried out periodically and without prior notice. This is a form of internal supervision to create a clean and professional working environment.
