bank bjb continues to drive regional economic growth through expanded collaboration and synergy with various stakeholders. This effort forms part of the bank’s commitment to supporting various government priority programmes, including those in the housing and settlement sector.

This concrete step is realised through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the West Java Provincial Housing and Settlement Work Unit, specifically the Balai Pelaksana Penyediaan Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman Jawa II, and bank bjb regarding the distribution of Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance funds for the 2026 Fiscal Year. The agreement was signed by PPK for Self-Help Housing and Settlement Development Nadya Rahmarani Akbar and the Head of the Consumer Funds & Services Division at bank bjb, Maman Rukmana.

The signing of this cooperation took place on Friday (27/3/2026) as part of strengthening synergy between the government and the banking sector to expand access to decent housing for the community.

Director of Consumer and Retail at bank bjb, Nunung Suhartini, stated that the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) Programme is one of the government’s instruments to help low-income communities improve the quality of their self-built homes through a cooperative approach.

“This programme plays an important role in promoting improvements in community living standards through the provision of decent, healthy, and safe housing,” said Nunung.

As a regional development bank, bank bjb has a responsibility to support strategic government programmes, particularly in West Java. Following a selection process, bank bjb has once again been entrusted as the distributing bank for BSPS funds in the 2026 Fiscal Year.

This trust is supported by bank bjb’s experience in distributing BSPS funds from the 2017 to 2022 Fiscal Years. With this experience, bank bjb is committed to ensuring that fund distribution is targeted, transparent, and accountable.

“We hope that the implementation of this cooperation runs smoothly and provides optimal benefits. bank bjb is ready to continue collaborating and innovating in supporting various development programmes, especially in the housing sector,” said Nunung.

In the 2026 Fiscal Year, BSPS funds are allocated for 35,000 substandard housing units in West Java. Each housing unit receives assistance of Rp 20 million, bringing the total value of fund distribution to approximately Rp 700 billion.

The fund distribution will be carried out in 27 regencies and cities throughout West Java Province. The programme’s implementation is planned to last four months, from April to August 2026. In its execution, fund distribution is conducted through two main schemes to maintain effectiveness and accountability.

The first scheme is cash withdrawal, used for paying builders’ wages. The second scheme is carried out through direct book transfer mechanisms to material shops for purchasing building materials.

To support the distribution process, bank bjb provides the Special bjb Tandamata Savings product as the recipient’s assistance account. This product offers various conveniences, including no initial deposit, no administrative fees, no minimum balance requirement, and no interest income.

These conveniences provide more inclusive financial service access for assistance recipients. The programme’s implementation is also supported by bank bjb’s extensive service network, particularly across West Java.

This infrastructure readiness ensures that aid distribution can reach communities more quickly and evenly. In addition to aid distribution, this cooperation also opens up potential for broader business ecosystem development.

This collaboration creates an integrated and sustainable economic ecosystem at the regional level. bank bjb continues to strive to expand collaboration with various parties to deliver innovative financial solutions. This step aligns with efforts to support inclusive and sustainable regional economic growth.

Through its active role in the BSPS programme, bank bjb contributes to accelerating improvements in community housing quality. Moving forward, bank bjb will continue to strengthen synergy with the government and various stakeholders to expand community access to decent property.
