PAM JAYA supports the DKI Jakarta Free Mudik 2026 Programme by providing 15 bus units serving routes to several cities in Java and Sumatra. The symbolic departure of passengers was conducted by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at the National Monument in Jakarta.

“This year, the DKI Jakarta Government has chosen the theme of free mudik from Jakarta for families. This theme reminds us all that mudik is not merely a journey home, but an opportunity to nurture family bonds, strengthen relationships, and preserve our values of togetherness,” said Pramono in a written statement on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

Pramono stated that this year’s free mudik programme is also supported through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) schemes from several Jakarta state-owned enterprises, including PAM JAYA.

“I deliberately mention the companies supporting us through this CSR programme as an expression of appreciation, and with the hope that they can increase their participation further next year,” he explained.

According to data from the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office, 35,012 passengers participated in the free mudik and return programme this year, with a total of 744 buses prepared.

Anugrah Esa, Director of Strategy and Business at PAM JAYA, stated that this participation marks the first time the company has been involved in the DKI Jakarta Government’s free mudik programme. The 15 buses provided serve routes to Solo (6 buses), Madiun (2 buses), Palembang (1 bus), Sragen (1 bus), and Wonogiri (5 buses).

“Through this programme, we hope that travellers can journey safely and reach their destinations in good health, and be able to reunite with their families. We are proud to participate in this programme,” said Esa.

One participant, Rini Pujiati, a resident of North Jakarta travelling to Sragen, expressed gratitude for the programme.

“Praise be to God; our appreciation and thanks to the Governor and PAM JAYA. We can travel home for free. As Jakarta residents, this programme is very helpful to us. I hope this free mudik activity will continue and be expanded next year,” said Rini.

Going forward, PAM JAYA has stated it will continue to strengthen synergy with the DKI Jakarta Government in enhancing services to the community through various social programmes.

The event was also attended by Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno, Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council Wibi Andrino, Metro Jaya Police Chief Senior General Asep Edi Suheri, and representatives from the DKI Jakarta Government.
