Students killed in street fights

JAKARTA (JP): Two high school students have been killed in two
separate fights in West and South Jakarta recently.

Rusli, 17, a student of STM PGRI 3 technical high school, was
killed on Wednesday during a fight in Tanjung Duren, West
Jakarta.

According to Rusli's brother, Adang, Rusli was beaten by a
group of students. One of the students stabbed Rusli in the back
with a knife.

Rusli died on the way to hospital.

Meanwhile, Fuadi Suhaimi, a student of STM aviation technical
high school, was killed by a group of students of another
technical high school, in Taman Puring in South Jakarta. The
fight took place adjacent to a police subprecinct.

According to his uncle, Fuadi, 15, had boarded a Metromini bus
to go home when some students of the other technical high school
attacked the bus on Tuesday.

Fuadi and a friend were in the back of the bus and fell out
when the driver sped up to avoid the attack.

The mob then kicked and beat Fuadi and his friend. One of the
students slashed the back of Fuadi's head with a knife.

Fuadi, a resident of Jl. Joglo, Kebun Jeruk district, West
Jakarta, was dead on arrival at the Pertamina hospital. His
friend is now being treated in the same hospital.(04)
