Students' food program
Students' food program
From Neraca
I am very impressed with the food program for provincial
primary school children and for children from a humble
background. It is not only a noble program, it is a stimulus to
improve the quality of human resources.
This food program will not only enrich nutriment, it will also
hone most children's intellect. Children are in need of wholesome
food.
I have noticed that most children of impoverished families are
underfed. This condition does not promote growth of bright school
children. I am certain that if they were being fed better food,
most of them would be happy kids. A bright and happy child is
usually of sound body and mental health.
I suggest the department responsible should distribute food
independently. The government should channel funds to every
school separately and allow the respective school management and
parent organizations to decide what menu would be best for the
students.
I am convinced that this method would be more efficient and
would also foster public participation in the food program to
promote the nation's intelligence.
Aside from this, if additional food were to be distributed
separately to every school, harmony between schools and guardians
would be established. We believe that the quality of students
depends mostly on an active relationship between school and
parents.
