Student killed in fight

JAKARTA (JP): A 15-year-old junior high school student was
killed by a mob on Jl. Kampung Gabus, Tambun district, in Bekasi
on Friday evening.

An officer at the Bekasi Police precinct said the victim, M.
Syahrun, was attacked by a group of people while he and his
friends were watching an open-air movie at a field in the area.

He said Syahrun's friends escaped and reported the attack. The
motive for the assault is still unknown.

The victim's father, Inen, discovered him lying on the ground
with severe head and chest injuries, he said

Inen then took his son to Bekasi hospital. Syahrun died
shortly after receiving treatment at the hospital, he added.
