Student found murdered

JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: A student was found dead with multiple
stab wounds yesterday near the governor's villa. The possibility
of murder is not being ruled out.

The discomposing body of Semuel Isir, 24, was found by
construction workers about 100 meters from the governor's Skyline
resting house, Antara reported.

Friends said they last saw Isir, a student of the Ottow
Geissler Economic College, on Oct. 1 when he abruptly left a
students' meeting.

Maj. Sabar Rahardjo, the deputy chief of the Jayapura police
precinct, said yesterday the police were yet to obtain clues to
uncover the mystery surrounding Isir's death. (pan)
