Bogor - Bogor Mayor Dedie A Rachim has requested his subordinates to firmly implement a fine of Rp 250,000 for street vendors (PKL) who continue to stubbornly sell on sidewalks. He made this statement during his return inspection of the Bogor Market area, which has been cleared of vendors selling on sidewalks, on Thursday (26/3/2026). Previously, Dedie had expressed annoyance and reprimanded several PKL still selling on sidewalks in the Bogor Market area. Article 11 prohibits PKL from selling on roads, sidewalks, shop verandas, green lanes, and parks or open green spaces. “In the town square, the fine is effectively Rp 50,000, but that also has a deterrent effect. For those who are stubborn, the maximum is Rp 250,000,” Dedie said at Bogor Market on Thursday. The Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) is collaborating with the Bogor City Prosecutor’s Office for minor criminal offences (Tipiring). After that, stubborn PKL who are apprehended and transported will be processed at the Satpol PP office for the imposition of fines in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2021. “Don’t let them come back and forth again, be stubborn again, just impose the fine. If they are indeed stubborn, if they are strong, paying Rp 250,000 a day times a month would be a lot,” Dedie stated.
