Strengthening the Beyond Mortgage Transformation, BTN Has Disbursed 6 Million Mortgages up to April 2026
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has recorded the disbursement of 6 million home ownership loan (KPR) units since 1976 until early April 2026, valued at Rp530 trillion. This achievement reflects BTN’s ongoing contribution to expanding access to home ownership for Indonesian society, while strengthening the foundation of the national housing ecosystem.
BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu emphasised that this milestone is a reflection of BTN’s long journey in building the national housing financing foundation. Over nearly five decades, BTN has not only disbursed financing but also developed a sustainable housing ecosystem. The 6 million homes financed reflect BTN’s role in supporting social stability and economic growth through the housing sector.
“Going forward, we continue to strengthen the transformation towards beyond mortgage, where BTN not only serves home financing but also the overall financial needs of families, from transactions and businesses to the long-term needs of the community,” said Nixon, quoted from his statement on Friday, 10 April 2026.
Nixon added that in line with the vision as the Main Partner in Empowering Indonesian Family Finance, BTN always accompanies customers’ life journeys with complete services, from childhood with the “Juara” savings product, the teenage phase where BTN is present with a digital payment ecosystem, the working phase served with planned savings, payroll, KPR, priority banking services, to the phase when customers retire with pension credit products, insurance, and other investments.
“We also introduce financing innovations through bundling KPR with home furnishing needs, so customers can obtain more affordable and integrated financing solutions,” he added.
Meanwhile, BTN Director of Consumer Banking Hirwandi Gafar added that this achievement is driven by BTN’s consistency in maintaining disbursement performance and expanding financing access in various regions.
“Demand for decent and affordable housing continues to increase, while current challenges in the housing sector mostly come from the supply side, such as land availability and permitting. BTN seeks to address this through a more proactive and integrated approach, so that KPR disbursement can run effectively and reach more people,” explained Hirwandi.
