Strengthening Governance to Sustain Growth, Bank Jakarta Reinforces Risk Management
Bank Jakarta has placed the strengthening of governance and risk management at the forefront of its corporate transformation agenda. The strategy is focused on prudential banking discipline, the reinforcement of internal audit functions, and the enhancement of financial management quality.
Management has emphasised that business growth must proceed in tandem with regulatory compliance and measured risk mitigation. A risk-aware culture is being expanded across all organisational levels to ensure that every strategic decision remains within the bounds of prudence.
Ateng Rivai, Director of Compliance at Bank Jakarta, stated that strengthening fundamentals provides the foundation for long-term growth. “Healthy growth must be supported by strong governance, disciplined and accountable risk management, and the development of a risk-aware culture across all organisational levels to ensure that every strategic step of the company remains within the corridor of prudential principles and applicable regulations,” Ateng said in a press release.
Additionally, the internal audit function has been reinforced through enhanced independence and the effectiveness of recommendation follow-up. On the financial side, the management of cost structure, liquidity, and profitability is being directed to maintain stability whilst supporting transformation and digitalisation.
These efforts have garnered national recognition. Bank Jakarta received the Best Indonesia Enterprises Risk Management Gold Award (B) Excellent (4 Star) in the Regional Development Company Asset category exceeding Rp90 trillion at the Indonesia Enterprise Risk Management 2026 event.
In a separate recognition, Basaria Martha Juliana, Director of Finance and Strategy at Bank Jakarta, received the Indonesia Best CFO Awards 2026 for her leadership in maintaining financial health and driving sustainable growth.
Arie Rinaldi, Corporate Secretary of Bank Jakarta, stated that the awards validate the bank’s consistent commitment to strengthening governance. “Going forward, Bank Jakarta will continue to strengthen collaboration, innovation, and discipline in the implementation of governance to ensure sustainable growth and deliver added value to all stakeholders,” said Arie.
Management has confirmed that the transformation agenda will continue with a focus on governance, risk management, and the strengthening of financial structure.
