In the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, Indonesian Culture Minister (Menbud) Fadli Zon received visits from a number of cultural figures and the public at his residence in Jakarta.

This activity forms part of the Indonesian tradition that positions Eid al-Fitr as a moment for mutual visits, strengthening relationships, and seeking forgiveness.

That tradition of maintaining ties reflects cultural values deeply rooted in society. Through warm and familial interactions, Eid al-Fitr is not only a religious celebration but also a space for reinforcing social harmony amid diversity.

On that occasion, Fadli conveyed that Eid al-Fitr holds meaning as a moment to return to purity while strengthening brotherhood.

“Eid al-Fitr is a moment to return to purity, strengthen ties, and affirm the spirit of brotherhood,” said Fadli, in a written statement on Saturday (21/3/2026).

Fadli added that as a country with vast diversity, Indonesia has a variety of Eid al-Fitr traditions across regions, from maintaining ties and returning home to various other forms of celebration.

Despite the diversity, all those traditions share the same values: strengthening brotherhood, preserving togetherness, and reinforcing social harmony.

As part of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, Fadli extended greetings to all Indonesian people while inviting them to make this moment a reinforcer of brotherhood and togetherness.

“Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, minal a’idin wal fa’idzin, please forgive my physical and spiritual shortcomings,” said Fadli.

After the event, Fadli continued his agenda of maintaining ties with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto along with members of the Red and White Cabinet at the State Palace.

Through this series of visits, Eid al-Fitr is hoped not only to become an annual tradition but also a moment to continuously strengthen the nation’s cultural values in safeguarding unity, togetherness, and social harmony in Indonesia.

For information, the event was also attended by legendary Indonesian actor and singer Adi Bing Slamet; artists and cultural figures, as well as the public.

Accompanying Fadli were, among others, Inspector General (Irjen) Fryda Lucyana; Ministerial Advisor on Law and Cultural Policy Masyithoh Annisa R Alkatiri; Ministerial Advisor on Inter-Institutional Relations Ismunandar, and officials from the Ministry of Culture.
