Still scarce, Shell Super fuel price rises to Rp12,390 from 1 March
Jakarta – Amid continued stock shortages, fuel prices at Shell petrol stations have risen effective 1 March, with Shell Super increasing to Rp12,390 per litre from Rp12,050 per litre in February.
Based on information from Shell Indonesia’s official website in Jakarta on Sunday, Shell Super fuel is only available in East Java. Meanwhile, as of 28 February 2026, Shell petrol stations in Jakarta have run out of stock.
In line with the fuel shortage experienced at Shell petrol stations, Shell management has only updated prices for two of four fuel types: Shell Super and Shell V-Power Diesel. Therefore, no new prices are yet available for Shell V-Power and Shell V-Power Nitro+.
For Shell V-Power Diesel, prices have increased by Rp1,020 per litre, rising from Rp13,600 per litre in February 2026 to Rp14,620 per litre effective 1 March 2026.
Shell is not alone in adjusting fuel prices. PT Pertamina (Persero) has announced fuel price updates for selected regions effective 1 March 2026.
In the Jabodetabek area, Pertamax (RON 92) prices have risen to Rp12,300 per litre from Rp11,800 per litre, whilst Pertamax Green (RON 95) has increased to Rp12,900 per litre from Rp12,450 per litre in January 2026.
Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) has also increased to Rp13,100 per litre from Rp12,700 per litre.
Pertamina’s diesel range in the region has also seen price increases. Dexlite (CN 51) has risen to Rp14,200 per litre from Rp13,250 per litre in February 2026.
Pertamina Dex (CN 53) has also increased to Rp14,500 per litre from Rp13,500 per litre previously.
Meanwhile, several government-assigned and subsidised fuels remain unchanged: Pertalite at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar at Rp6,800 per litre.
