STIK Class of 83 Students and TNI Join Forces for Beach Clean-up in North Aceh
North Aceh — Dozens of students from the Police Science College (STIK) Class of 83, under the National Police Education and Training Institute (Lemdiklat Polri), joined forces with TNI personnel and local residents to clean up the coastal area in North Aceh. This inter-institutional collaboration was carried out as a demonstration of genuine concern for environmental preservation whilst strengthening the emotional bond between security forces and the local community.
The activity was led by the STIK Accompanying Officer and attended by the District Military Commander (Danramil) along with TNI personnel, the local Police Sector Chief (Kapolsek) with Polsek officers, Seunuddon village officials, secondary school students, and local residents. Participants worked together to collect plastic waste, wood, and household refuse washed ashore by ocean currents. The collected waste was then sorted and disposed of at designated sites. The activity also reflected Indonesia's national culture of communal cooperation (gotong royong).
Also present was M Rizky Ali Akbar, a Syndicate 8 student of STIK-PTIK Class of 83 and Deputy Chairman of the Police Science Students' Association (PMIK) Senate, who actively participated and motivated residents about the importance of environmental stewardship as a shared responsibility.
The event, held along the coast of Seunuddon District, North Aceh Regency, on Sunday (15 February 2026), formed part of a series of Community Service (Dianmas) activities by STIK Lemdiklat Polri Class of 83 students. The clean-up was also carried out in response to President Prabowo Subianto's directives on environmental protection.
The beach clean-up was centred along the Seunuddon coastline, an area frequented by fishermen and local residents. Beyond the physical clean-up, STIK students also provided education to residents on household waste management and the impact of environmental pollution on health and marine ecosystems.
Through this activity, it is hoped that a collective awareness will grow among the community to maintain coastal cleanliness, whilst strengthening the emotional ties between the TNI, the National Police, and the public. The Dianmas programme also served as a practical learning opportunity for STIK Class of 83 students in implementing humane, collaborative, and responsive policing values that address community needs.
