Sticky price to pay

From Kompas

I am writing in reference to a gubernatorial decision which decreed that donations collected via SEA Games stickers are no longer effective starting May 26, 1997. But it appears that the practice is still continuing.

I was even more surprised when I read in Kompas (June 3) that a license for SEA Games collection in 12 large offices ranging from Rp 50,000 to Rp 100,000, had not been extended.

I am wondering about the coming performances: "Warner Bros, Family Entertainment Looney Tunes On Thin Ice" and "Batman & Robin in The Big Freeze", sponsored by Visa Card scheduled for next July.

In the brochure I received, VVIP tickets were offered at Rp 155,000 , VIP at Rp 97,500, 1st Class Rp 77,500, 2nd Class Rp 52,500, 3rd Class Rp 26,000 (SEA Games contribution included).

I am a member of Visa Card and I ordered the tickets by phone. I made inquiries about the SEA Games contribution my child has to pay which was included in the ticket price.

I do not agree with having to pay for these stickers. It is not a matter of money, but it has to do with the prevailing system.

I call on SEA Games managers to explain the ruling that has just been issued.
