State-Owned Enterprise Logistics Consolidation Expected by First Half of 2026
Jakarta — The Head of the State Enterprises Regulatory Board, Dony Oskaria, announced that the merger of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the logistics sector will be completed by the first half of 2026.
In a statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday, Dony explained that PT Pos, which serves as the anchor SOE in the logistics sector, will be strengthened through the consolidation of several logistics subsidiaries. These subsidiaries include Semen Logistik, Pupuk Logistik, Angkasa Pura Logistik, and KAI Logistik.
According to Dony, this consolidation aims to establish a strong and efficient SOE logistics ecosystem. “Since we have so many subsidiary companies operating in the logistics field, we want to make operations more efficient, better, and stronger. The next step is therefore a merger,” said Dony.
Dony stated that the SOE logistics consolidation is planned to be completed in the first half of this year. Following changes to the board structure at PT Pos, which have already been completed, the consolidation process for all logistics sector SOEs is currently underway.
Furthermore, Dony said that in principle, the SOE optimisation process is guided by the objective of creating more effective and efficient businesses. This optimisation includes consolidation measures. “After conducting a fundamental business review of all companies, we identified four outcomes. First, some enterprises will be liquidated; second, some will be divested; third, some will undergo consolidation; and fourth, some will be restructured,” Dony explained.
In the logistics sector, optimisation through consolidation is viewed as strengthening the role of SOEs not only in Indonesia’s domestic logistics business ecosystem but also regionally. This is also intended to ensure smoother distribution logistics flows from suppliers to consumers.
