Samarinda (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) said that the amount of People’s Business Credit (KUR) allocated from the State Budget (APBN) for micro and small enterprises (UMK) in East Kalimantan stands at Rp4.6 trillion for 23,250 borrowers in 2026, as part of efforts to boost business competitiveness through working capital and investment.

The disbursement of KUR is also aimed at accelerating the growth of productive sectors, helping UMK operators obtain capital for productive ventures, creating new jobs, and easing interest burdens for business actors so they can focus more on developing their enterprises.

“The value of KUR funds of this size is entrusted to be managed by a number of conventional banks as well as sharia-based banks spread across regencies and cities in East Kalimantan,” said Edih Mulyadi, head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (Kanwil DJPb) for East Kalimantan, in Samarinda on Sunday.

The working capital financing allocated through conventional banks totals Rp4.09 trillion for 20,935 debtors, while financing allocated through sharia banks amounts to Rp504.47 billion for capital for 2,315 debtors.

“Meanwhile, the Rp504.47 billion allocated through sharia banks comprises super micro enterprises of Rp10.76 billion for 634 borrowers, micro enterprises of Rp189.53 billion for 980 borrowers, and small enterprises of Rp304.17 billion for 701 borrowers,” he said.

Edih also reported on the performance of KUR in 2025 in the province, with total realization reaching Rp4.07 trillion for 52,780 borrowers, thus the successful absorption of funding from the APBN is believed to also spur Kaltim’s people’s economy.

Details of the realization show micro-enterprises as the priority financing, with realized KUR amounting to Rp2.59 trillion for 46,260 borrowers; the second-largest share is for small enterprises, valued at Rp1.38 trillion for 5,528 borrowers.

“Additionally, there is KUR for home demand (renovation or construction of a home for a business place) realized at Rp39.33 billion for 217 borrowers, for super micro enterprises Rp7.18 billion for 758 borrowers, and KUR for Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) loans for prospective migrant workers amounting to Rp140 million for 4 borrowers,” said Edih.
