Starbucks Indonesia Continues to Grow
BTW seems the kemang outlet has closed. WTF is the "Jakarta's Kemang Club Villa’s café" - sounds rather wanky.

Periplus Kemang Closure
At mid day today Periplus Books gave Merdeka Coffee 7 days notice to take over management of the Café at Periplus, Hero Kemang. The reason given was vaguely linked to a “conflict of interest” with the recently opened Kemang Villa Café- which was in fact in part set up to help service the busy Periplus Cafe
Subsequently our last day of trading at Periplus will be on Tuesday 13th May, 2008. As yet we do not have a new premises to move to, but will work hard on this over the next month.
As of tomorrow (8th May, 2008) Coffee packs will not be available from Periplus, but can be purchased as normal from Jakarta's Kemang Club Villa’s café (the clubhouse by the swimming pool).
We will have no involvement whatsoever with Periplus from the end of trading on the 13th of May. Merdeka Coffee will not be available from any of the Periplus outlets nationwide.
Please email me if you wish to be left off this mailing list in future. It is my intention to send out a mail every week until we reopen a new store, in Kemang, with a much wider range of Coffee and food available.
I would like to thank every one of you for your patronage over the last 18 months. Please feel free to forward this email to anyone I may have left off the addressee list.
