South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho conducted a Ramadan Safari visit to Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) district. During the visit, Sandi stressed the importance of optimising public services and maintaining public order and security.

The Ramadan Safari began with a joint agenda alongside the Governor and South Sumatra Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) at the OKI District Hall on Friday (20/2/2026). Inspector General Sandi subsequently performed congregational Isya and Tarawih prayers, followed by a gathering with OKI District Police personnel.

During the visit, Inspector General Sandi was accompanied by South Sumatra Police Public Relations Head Nandang Mu’min, South Sumatra Police Community Development Director Hari Purnomo, and South Sumatra Police Forensic Laboratory Head Witdiardi.

Sandi also emphasised that the momentum of Ramadan should serve as a vehicle for improving the quality of service to the public. He requested all personnel to prioritise swift, responsive, and humane service delivery.

Furthermore, the former Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police also highlighted the importance of maintaining security stability, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, which is characterised by increased public activity both during the day and at night.

“Service to the public must be the top priority. Carry out your duties with full responsibility and maintain security conditions to ensure they remain safe and conducive,” Sandi said.

The Ramadan Safari forms part of efforts to strengthen ties between the South Sumatra Police leadership and personnel across the region, whilst ensuring the readiness of officers to deliver the best possible service to the people of OKI district.
