South Kalimantan Provincial Government Disburses Tax Revenue Sharing to 13 Regencies and Cities
THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT of South Kalimantan has disbursed the fourth-quarter 2025 regional tax revenue-sharing funds totalling more than Rp600 billion to 13 regencies and cities. The distribution was handed over by Governor Muhidin on the evening of Wednesday, 4 March, alongside Bank Kalsel’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) for the 2025 financial year and the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders for 2026, held at the Rattan Inn Hotel in Banjarmasin.
The total fourth-quarter 2025 revenue-sharing fund amounts to over Rp600 billion, with the following allocations: Banjarmasin City Rp123.2 billion; Banjarbaru City Rp53.1 billion; Banjar Regency Rp63.3 billion; Tanah Bumbu Regency Rp47.8 billion; Balangan Regency Rp20.9 billion; North Hulu Sungai Regency Rp27.5 billion; South Hulu Sungai Regency Rp27.8 billion; Central Hulu Sungai Regency Rp29 billion; Tapin Regency Rp29.5 billion; Barito Kuala Regency Rp30.4 billion; Kotabaru Regency Rp36.4 billion; Tanah Laut Regency Rp41 billion; and Tabalong Regency Rp41 billion.
Governor Muhidin said the tax revenue-sharing disbursement is allocated proportionally according to the applicable regulations and other considerations. Banjarmasin City receives the largest share due to having the highest density of motor vehicles among the regions.
Meanwhile, the Bank Kalsel AGM agreed to pursue improvements in the bank’s income performance and to actively engage with the public and the business community. Bank Kalsel’s 2025 performance report classifies the bank as healthy but notes the need to improve in order to compete with other banks. Among its plans is to turn Bank Kalsel into a Devisa bank and to meet the minimum banking capital requirement of Rp10 trillion.
Previously, Bank Kalsel’s performance drew sharp criticism from Komisi II of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) for its low credit disbursement to the public.
