The World Airport Skytrax Awards 2026 has placed the immigration services at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport among the top 10 best in the world. This is the second time the Soekarno-Hatta Airport immigration services have entered the top 10, following the first in the previous year.

The World Airport Skytrax Awards 2026 officially announced their evaluation results as part of the World Airport Awards Ceremony 2026 during the Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE). The event was held in London, England, on Wednesday (18/3/2026).

“This achievement is the fruit of the hard work of all personnel in the Directorate General of Immigration,” said Acting Director General of Immigration, Yuldi Yusman, quoted from the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services (Ditjenim Kemenimipas) website, on Sunday (22/3).

Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s immigration services are in 10th position. The international airports entering the top 10 include Singapore Changi Airport, Bahrain International Airport, and Hong Kong International Airport.

“Going forward, we will continue to strengthen cooperation with various parties to ensure that immigration services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport remain superior and efficient,” said Yuldi.

Ditjenim Kemenimipas considers this sustained position as evidence of consistent and stable immigration services. It is stated that the Skytrax evaluation is based on the World Airport Survey.

“We are committed to continuing to innovate to improve the experience of airport service users and strengthen Indonesia’s positive image internationally,” said Yuldi.

The survey involved service users from more than 100 countries. The survey was conducted from August 2025 to February 2026. The main evaluation indicators include waiting time efficiency, optimisation of autogate technology, availability of priority lanes, and the professionalism of frontline officers.
