Social Programme Supports Inclusive Education
Access to education for people with disabilities continues to pose a challenge amid efforts to equalise the quality of human resources. Cross-sector support is considered vital to ensure that inclusive education reaches more vulnerable groups.
Several industry players are beginning to contribute to strengthening inclusive education through social programmes and collaborations with educational institutions. These efforts are expected to enhance the capacity and self-confidence of disabled students in facing the world of work.
For instance, PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) provided support to visually impaired students at SLB-A Pembina Tingkat Nasional Jakarta on 24 April 2026. The activity was carried out in collaboration with Yayasan Helping Hands, featuring disability communication education, introduction to the world of work, and interactive activities.
In addition, IIF donated three laptop units and educational support worth Rp25 million to bolster the teaching and learning process.
IIF President Director & CEO Rizki Pribadi Hasan stated that the programme aims to strengthen the readiness of disabled students to face the future. “The entire series of activities is intended to provide insights, motivation, and build the self-confidence of visually impaired students so they are better prepared to face the future,” he said on Thursday (30/4/2026).
IIF Chief Risk Officer Lestari Umardin added that collaboration is key to expanding access to equitable education. “Through collaboration, we want to ensure that equal and meaningful educational access reaches more beneficiaries,” Lestari said.
This programme is part of IIF’s employee engagement initiative, which encourages employee involvement in social activities. In the future, strengthening inclusive education is seen as necessary to continue supporting the needs of more equitable and sustainable human resource development.
