SMAN 28 Jakarta Students Enthusiastic About KEJAR DKI Jakarta Program with Bank Jakarta
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The One Account One Student Programme (KEJAR) 2026, organised by Bank Jakarta in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), has received a positive reception from students at SMAN 28 Jakarta. The initiative, aimed at improving financial literacy and inclusion among pupils, is seen to provide significant benefits in building the habit of saving from an early age. One XI-grade female student at SMAN 28 Jakarta, Zahwa Azalea Reza, said she was enthusiastic to participate in the programme. According to her, KEJAR DKI Jakarta offers new understanding of the importance of financial management among pupils. “This programme is very good as it makes us better understand the importance of saving and managing money from now on. So, we can learn to be more disciplined in using money,” Zahwa said during the KEJAR DKI Jakarta kick-off at SMAN 28 Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/5). She believes that through this programme students can better understand how saving benefits the future. Including programmes provided by Bank Jakarta to pupils. “Yes, previously I thought saving was just putting money in a bank. It turns out to be more than that. There are many programmes offered by banks to their customers. Including me who am still a student,” Zahwa added. The same sentiment was expressed by XI-grade student Musthafa Ahmad Hermana. He said the KEJAR DKI Jakarta programme is an interesting experience because it provides financial education in a way that is interactive and enjoyable. “According to me, this activity is very beneficial for pupils because it teaches how to manage money well and the importance of having savings for the future,” Musthafa said. He also appreciated the collaboration between Bank Jakarta and OJK in delivering financial education directly to schools. In his view, such a step can help students understand the banking world and financial services more closely. The KEJAR DKI Jakarta programme itself is an effort to push a saving culture among pupils while strengthening financial literacy for the younger generation in Jakarta through cooperation between local government, banking, and the financial services regulator. As a bank owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government, Bank Jakarta channels social assistance (Bansos) for the education sector such as KJP Plus and KJMU. By April 2026, Bank Jakarta is recorded as managing more than 2.4 million student accounts with total deposits reaching Rp1.81 trillion coming from Tabungan Pelajar, SimPEL and KJP Plus. Bank Jakarta received an award as the best KEJAR implementation bank in the Regional Development Bank category in 2025.
