BOGOR - Jalan Saleh Danasasmita in Batutulis, South Bogor, has been temporarily closed due to landslide risks.

Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, confirmed that motorcyclists are no longer permitted to use Jalan Saleh Danasasmita in Batutulis.

The condition of Jalan Saleh Danasasmita is concerning due to water seepage and the retaining wall beginning to tilt again.

“If you look at the condition just now, it’s quite worrying; motorbikes really shouldn’t pass through. I’m not being subjective, but it’s more about safeguarding public safety and security,” said Jenal in Batutulis, Bogor, on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

He added that the road has already experienced cracking.

Additionally, the moisture seepage from the soil beneath the road is quite high.

“For now, the condition there is cracked, even irregularly cracked to the left and right, and inside it, there’s a lot of water. From what I saw underneath, on the retaining wall, water is flowing quite strongly, and it’s not drainage but groundwater coming out through the seepage that caused the road landslide today,” he stated.

Therefore, Jenal urged residents to use alternative routes while Jalan Saleh Danasasmita in Batutulis remains closed.

“So the recommendation is to find a new route,” he explained.

The condition of Jalan Saleh Danasasmita features cracking, and tarpaulin has been installed to cover the cracks.

For information, one alternative route is via Leuwi Tarik Bridge, which connects Batutulis Ward with Ranggamekar Ward.

For motorcyclists coming from the direction of Batutulis, they can go through Gang Mekar Jaya II; that road section can only be traversed by two motorbikes side by side in the middle of the local residents’ settlement to reach Leuwi Tarik Bridge.

Before reaching Leuwi Tarik Bridge, motorists will cross the Batutulis Station railway crossing using the Pedestrian Overpass (JPO) in turns.
