Situbondo Police prepare six security posts for Eid al-Fitr mudik traffic
Situbondo, East Java — The Situbondo Police Resort (Polres Situbondo) in East Java has prepared six service posts and security posts for the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah mudik and balik along the Pantura corridor linking Bali and Java. During the Ketupat Semeru 2026 operation, the local police added one integrated post at the exit toll (exit tol) at Suboh village/sub-district or the western Situbondo toll exit. ‘This year we have added one integrated post at the Situbondo toll exit in the western part of Situbondo,’ said AKBP Bayu Anuwar Sidiqie. The six security and service posts and the integrated post will be stationed along the Pantura route in Situbondo, namely in Banyuglugur District, the Pasir Putih maritime tourism area, Jangkar Port, the Baluran National Park area, the urban area, and the toll exit. ‘This toll exit is expected to be busy as many travellers are predicted to use the toll road, so we have prepared one integrated post,’ he added. The police chief urged motorists travelling the Situbondo Pantura route to remain cautious as there are still several damaged and undulating road sections. ‘There are road repairs on the Pantura route as well, so motorists should stay careful and reduce speed,’ he said. Bayu noted that traffic volume on the Situbondo Pantura route is projected to rise by up to 20 percent during the mudik and balik period compared with the previous year, and road users are asked to stay vigilant.
