Singapore, RI in joint SAR
SINGAPORE (AFP): Singapore and Indonesia have successfully
conducted a joint search and rescue exercise, the Civil Aviation
Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said on Wednesday.
The annual exercise is aimed at testing the communication
facilities and coordination procedures developed by both
countries, CAAS said.
To date, Singapore has concluded search and rescue agreements
with Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Indonesia has similar agreements with the city-state, the United
States, Philippines, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
