Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Investment Minister and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan P. Roeslani revealed that Singapore remains the largest contributing country for investment in Indonesia.

According to BKPM data, Singapore contributed US$17.4 billion in foreign direct investment during January-December 2025. Rosan disclosed this at the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2026 event held at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Friday (13/2/2026). The event was attended by Singapore’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Kwok Fook Sen.

Speaking before the neighbouring country’s ambassador, Rosan expressed his gratitude to Singapore. “Thank you His Excellency because Singapore is still continue supporting Indonesia in direct investment. So I hope you will invest more in Indonesia,” Rosan said.

The realised foreign direct investment (FDI) flowing into Indonesia throughout 2025 reached Rp900.9 trillion. This figure grew 0.1% compared to the previous year’s realised value of Rp900.2 trillion, according to records from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM.

The total foreign investment over the past year was contributed by the top five countries, the majority of which are Asian nations. Singapore ranked first as the largest source of foreign investment entering Indonesia, followed respectively by Hong Kong at US$10.6 billion, China at US$7.5 billion, Malaysia at US$4.5 billion, and Japan at US$3.1 billion.

These foreign investment figures complement the total domestic investment (PMDN), which reached Rp1,030.3 trillion throughout 2025.
