Singapore Airlines Group (SAG), comprising Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Scoot, continues to cancel flights to the Middle East region until 28 March 2026.

The extension of flight cancellations to the Middle East is a result of the ongoing conflict in Iran. “Due to the situation remaining volatile, other SIA flights may also be affected,” said SIA, according to Channel News Asia on Friday, 13 March 2026.

As of Wednesday, 11 March 2026, SIA stated that the cancelled SAG flights include flight SQ494 (Singapore-Dubai route) and flight SQ495 (Dubai-Singapore route). The airline had previously announced cancellations through 15 March 2026.

The airline operates four weekly flights to Jeddah. Affected SIA customers will be rerouted to alternative flights. Customers may also opt to receive a full refund for unused ticket portions.

“Customers are strongly encouraged to update their contact details through the manage bookings function on our website, or subscribe to our mobile notification service to receive updates on their flight status,” said SIA.

As part of Singapore’s efforts to repatriate citizens stranded in the Middle East following the outbreak of conflict, evacuation flights have been operated from Oman and Saudi Arabia, with the most recent conducted by the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

Meanwhile, Etihad Airways is not operating flights between Singapore and Abu Dhabi at least until Thursday, 12 March 2026. Cathay Pacific has cancelled all flights to Riyadh until 31 March, whilst Japan Airlines flights to Doha are affected until 22 March.

British Airways stated on Facebook that its flights to and from Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai, and Israel remain cancelled until the end of March. Flights to and from Abu Dhabi are cancelled until the end of the year. Meanwhile, German carrier Lufthansa announced it has suspended flights to and from numerous Middle East countries.

However, scheduled flights to and from Riyadh and Jeddah will continue to operate.
