Shocking Reason Why RSHS Bandung Nurse Handed Baby Nina Saleha Over to Stranger
A mother from Cimahi, West Java, Nina Saleha (27), claims her baby was nearly taken by an unknown person at Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin on Wednesday, 9 April 2026. The incident happened during the discharge process from the NICU ward, when staff allegedly handed the baby to someone else after claiming to have called for the parents but receiving no response. Nina explained that her baby had been treated in the NICU for about five days due to jaundice. During the discharge administration, she and her husband briefly left the room to eat. However, upon returning to the ward, Nina was shocked to see her baby being held by another person. She immediately recognised her baby from the clothing and blanket used. “When I returned, I saw my baby being held by someone else. I know that blanket and clothing very well,” Nina stated via her personal TikTok account. Nina then approached the woman to confirm it was her child. She became even more certain after seeing the baby’s features, although the identification bracelet was reportedly no longer attached at that time. In a state of panic, Nina quickly called the nurse for an explanation. She admitted to shouting out of fear that her baby would be taken away by others. According to her account, the on-duty nurse said the baby was handed over because they had previously called Nina’s name but got no response. “Why was that my child given to someone? Then she said, ‘Yes, ma’am, earlier I called and called for Mrs Nina Saleha, why wasn’t anyone there?’” Nina recounted. The incident occurred when the baby was about one week old and still in recovery after being referred from a previous hospital. The event has since drawn public attention after Nina shared her experience on social media. In her post, she also tagged the West Java Governor, Dedi Mulyadi, in hopes the case would receive attention. Several netizens have responded, urging an investigation into the incident as it concerns patient safety, particularly for babies requiring strict supervision.
