Several Education Departments Impose Sanctions on Violators of Academic Ability Test Rules
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several education departments have imposed sanctions on a number of teachers and exam supervisors proven to have committed violations during the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for junior high school education level last week.
The Technical Team Coordinator of the Rembang Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Office, Central Java Province, Ngadiyono, emphasised that upon receiving information about the violation on 9 April 2026, his side immediately contacted the relevant school.
“We immediately reprimanded the school principal and requested that the Facebook post be deleted immediately as an initial response to the violation that occurred,” said Ngadiyono in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
As a follow-up step, the Rembang Education Office then issued an administrative sanction in the form of a written reprimand letter to the school party.
Not only that, the Rembang Education Office also summoned the school party to provide clarification while strengthening commitment to maintaining the integrity of the assessment implementation.
This step was carried out as part of the coaching and supervision of educational units.
“All the steps we have taken are in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures for the Academic Ability Test, including in giving reprimands and sanctions to the school party,” emphasised Ngadiyono.
A similar action was also taken by the Sumedang Regency Education Office, West Java Province, which imposed sanctions on a teacher suspected of publishing video content on YouTube containing part of the TKA material or questions that are confidential in nature.
The Sumedang Regency Education Office issued the sanction after conducting a series of examinations and clarifications.
The sanction consisted of an oral reprimand, coaching, and obliging the individual to maintain the confidentiality of TKA documents in accordance with applicable provisions.
