Serang Regent Reminds Hajj Pilgrims to Obey Rules in the Holy Land
Serang (ANTARA) - Serang Regent, Ratu Rachmatuzakiyah, has reminded prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) from the local area to comply with various regulations in the Holy Land as stipulated by the Saudi Arabian government.
“Follow the rules that apply there because the rules in the homeland will certainly differ from those there. I also ask the pilgrims to continue coordinating with the guides and Hajj officials if they encounter any obstacles,” she said during the send-off of 392 prospective Hajj pilgrims from the local area, who are grouped in Flight Group (kloter) 3, heading to the Hajj Dormitory in Cipondoh, Tangerang City, Banten Province, on Thursday.
She also reminded the prospective pilgrims to always maintain their health condition.
“Take care of your health,” she said.
“Hajj officials must respond quickly if there are any problems with the pilgrims. May they all return to the homeland safely as Hajj pilgrims who are accepted,” she added.
Banten Governor Andra Soni, who was present at the event, appreciated the organisation of the 2026 Hajj due to its greater efficiency thanks to the operation of the embarkation in the Banten region.
“We are grateful because this year is the first time the embarkation in Banten, located in Cipondoh, Tangerang City, has been used. Thank you to all parties who have facilitated this year’s Hajj pilgrimage,” he said.
Data from the Serang Regency Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office records that the Kloter 3 group consists of 392 people, comprising 172 men and 219 women.
The pilgrims are scheduled to arrive at the Hajj Dormitory in Cipondoh at 11:55 WIB before departing for Madinah using a Garuda Indonesia flight on Friday (24/4). All accommodation for the pilgrims’ departure is covered by the Serang Regency government’s finances.
