Secret Information Contradicts Trump: Iran Restores 90 Percent of Underground Missile Facilities
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, WASHINGTON— In contrast to the official narrative of the US President Donald Trump administration, which has long claimed to have crippled Iran’s military capabilities, the latest report from The New York Times daily reveals a different reality. Citing several sources familiar with the secret US intelligence report, the newspaper states that Tehran has successfully regained control over around 90 percent of its underground missile facilities in various regions of the country. The secret assessment, compiled earlier this month and discussed among US intelligence agencies, indicates that Iran still maintains most of its strategic weaponry. This finding places Washington in a major dilemma, especially as the US military is reportedly facing serious shortages of essential ammunition supplies. Based on satellite imagery and advanced monitoring technology, the intelligence report yields several findings deemed concerning by high-ranking US officials. Around 90 percent of Iran’s underground missile storage and launch facilities are said to have resumed operations, either fully or partially. Iran is also reported to have regained operational access to 30 out of 33 missile launch sites facing the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic route through which nearly one-fifth of the world’s daily oil consumption passes.
