SeaWorld adds to its collection

JAKARTA (JP): SeaWorld, a large seawater aquarium in Ancol, North Jakarta, has added to its collection after receiving four species of sharks: three Tawny Nurse sharks on March 1 and a Lemon shark on Feb. 25.

Agus Setiawan, SeaWorld's managing director, said that the fish population also increased with the birth of three Feint Shovel-nose fish, known as pari keke, recently.

In a statement made yesterday, he stated that the regent of Tangerang, Saifullah Abdurrachman, is also donating four of his Belida fish to SeaWorld.

Agus said that SeaWorld has four functions: as a family recreation spot, an education center on marine biology, one of the city's tourist attraction centers and to boost the people's environmental awareness.

SeaWorld is a of the subsidiary of PT Lippoland Development. (mas)
