REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia has successfully restored the full capacity of the East-West oil pipeline after attacks on energy facilities temporarily reduced production capacity by around 600,000 barrels per day. This was stated by the kingdom’s Ministry of Energy on Sunday (12/4/2026). “The Ministry of Energy announces the success of operational and technical efforts in restoring full throughput capacity through the East-West pipeline, which reaches approximately seven million barrels per day,” read the ministry’s statement. The flow of oil through the East-West pipeline connects oil fields in eastern Saudi Arabia with the Yanbu port on the Red Sea, located in the western part of the kingdom. Oil production at the Manifa field has also returned to previous levels after recovering around 300,000 barrels per day that were lost during the US-Israel attack on Iran. The Saudi Press Agency, SPA, reported that the conflict in the Middle East had disrupted operations at several major Saudi energy facilities. These disruptions included damage to pump stations on the pipeline route transporting oil from the eastern region to the western part of the kingdom, resulting in a loss of throughput capacity of around 700,000 barrels per day.
