Saudi Arabia Furious with Iran, Accuses Intent to Disrupt Middle East and Islamic Nations
Saudi Arabia has once again issued a sharp rebuke against Iran over the Persian state’s attacks on its territory. This was conveyed by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdulah H. Amodi, in Jakarta on Thursday (26/3/2026).
In his statement to the media, Amodi said that the attack is highly detrimental. Saudi Arabia, along with the Gulf countries targeted by Iran, is not directly involved in the war that truly pits Israel, supported by the United States, against Tehran.
“This attack was planned in advance. This action reflects Iran’s intent to violate international law and destabilise the Middle East region and Islamic nations,” he stated.
Amodi noted that Riyadh has actually pursued diplomatic efforts. However, he assessed that Iran still appears intent on violations, with attacks continuing unabated.
“This action has bred distrust among regional countries towards Iran. This attack will have fatal consequences; Iran will remain increasingly isolated.”
Amodi added that Iran’s attacks so far have struck civilian targets in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries. The strikes have even killed and injured expatriates working at various sites, such as oil refineries and drilling facilities.
“This attack has also hit vital facilities in countries like Saudi Arabia and others that have been targeted by Iran,” he said.
Regarding Iran’s stated motive of targeting only US military bases in the Middle East, Amodi asserted that those bases are not directed at launching attacks on the Land of the Mullahs. The bases exist solely to combat ISIS and other terrorist groups in the region.
“Out of all Iran’s missiles, only 15% were aimed at Israel. The remaining 85% were launched at neighbouring Muslim countries in the region,” he said.
Furthermore, he stressed that this attack impacts not only Middle Eastern countries but the world at large. Iran, in his view, has acted recklessly around the Strait of Hormuz, the vital artery for oil tanker traffic and other supply chain materials.
“If Iran does not halt its actions, I am certain that global oil prices will continue to surge,” he concluded.
