Sahid Hotel in Irian Jaya

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's largest private national hotel
chain, Sahid Hotel, expanded its services to Irian Jaya on
Tuesday under a management contract with PT Marian Mitra Tunggal
in Sorong.

Under the agreement, the Sahid Hotel group now manages the 90-
room Mariat hotel in Sorong.

Sahid's President Sukamdani S. Gitosardjono who visited Sorong
for the hotel's opening welcomed the new facility as it would
help promote tourism the the country's easternmost province.

The Sahid Group now owns or manages hotels in Jakarta, Central
and East Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, North Sulawesi, South
Sulawesi.(vin)
