S. Jakarta mayor inspects markets

JAKARTA (JP): South Jakarta Mayor H. Pardjoko and several
other officials inspected shopping centers, markets and the Lebak
Bulus bus terminal on Tuesday.

"This inspection is mainly intended to closely monitor the
situation at shopping centers, markets and bus terminals on the
days leading up to the Idul Fitri festivities," Pardjoko told
Antara.

Data available at the South Jakarta mayoralty office shows
that the prices of almost all commodities have increased
by 10 percent to 25 percent.

During his inspection at the Lebak Bulus bus terminal Pardjoko
talked to the terminal's chief Yusran Tanjung, asking him about
transportation facilities provided by the terminal for passengers
who want to celebrate Idul Fitri in their hometowns. (bas)
