Ryan Haroen: HIPMI's Energy Must Focus on Strengthening the Organisation
Ryan Haroen, Chairman of the Jakarta Regional Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), has called on all members to maintain organisational unity ahead of the upcoming National Congress (Munas). According to Ryan, dynamics emerging ahead of the Munas are normal in large organisations. However, he believes members’ energy should be directed towards strengthening the organisation and preparing for HIPMI’s future, rather than getting embroiled in internal disputes. ‘HIPMI’s energy must focus on the organisation’s future, not internal disputes. HIPMI bears a significant responsibility in preparing young entrepreneurs capable of addressing future economic challenges,’ Ryan Haroen stated on Wednesday, 27 May. He stressed that the Jakarta Regional Board fully supports the Central Executive Board’s (BPP) decisions regarding the Munas, including the venue. ‘The Jakarta Regional Board fully supports holding the Munas in any province across Indonesia. The most important thing is to maintain organisational unity and ensure the congress proceeds smoothly for HIPMI’s sustainability,’ he added. Ryan views the Munas as an opportunity to strengthen regional consolidation, enhance collaboration among members, and clarify the organisation’s direction in tackling national economic challenges. He added that HIPMI must continue to uphold unity as a home for Indonesia’s young entrepreneurs. ‘HIPMI must remain a strong, mature organisation capable of generating significant ideas for Indonesia’s economic progress,’ Ryan said. This debate is a crucial part of the XVIII HIPMI National Congress (Munas) process, a triennial event to elect new leadership. Reynaldo Bryan emphasised that competition within HIPMI should be conducted amicably while maintaining familial bonds. HIPMI Jakarta believes the presence of young entrepreneur figures will bring fresh perspectives to national leadership, particularly in youth and sports sectors.
