Russian, Jordanian, and GCC Foreign Ministers to Discuss Middle East Conflict
Doha - Foreign ministers from Russia, Jordan, and the six Arab monarchies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will hold a video conference on Monday (30/3) to discuss developments in the Middle East and their global impacts.
The agenda was announced by GCC Secretary General Mohammed Al Budaiwi.
“The meeting will discuss the impact of Iran’s attacks on GCC member states and Jordan, as well as serious developments in the region and their negative effects on the world,” he said.
Iran attacked several areas in Israel and US military targets in the Middle East in retaliation for joint US-Israeli strikes.
On the first day of the conflict, 28 February, a girls’ school in southern Iran was hit in an attack, and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed.
The number of civilians killed in the conflict has now reached more than 1,300, while the number injured exceeds 20,000.
