Russian and Iranian Presidents Maintain Close Contact Since the Start of the Middle East Conflict
Moscow (ANTARA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have maintained close contact since the United States (US)-Israel war against Iran began, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali stated on Thursday (23/4). Putin and Pezeshkian have spoken by telephone three times since 28 February. “Our presidents maintain very good communication. The foreign ministers of both countries also have very strong relations,” Jalali said. In their most recent telephone conversation on 12 April, Jalali said Moscow is prepared to continue facilitating efforts to resolve the conflict and help achieve a just and sustainable peace in the region. “We thank Russia for this voice and support, which proves the existence of stable and deep relations between our countries,” Jalali stated.
